The Old Rugged Cross
I grew up in a church that saw many generations of my family pass through its doors. All songs are sung in acapella using shaped notes; one of the favorites was the Old Rugged Cross. I’ve found that when we take time to understand the story behind the song, we appreciate it a little more, much like life.
