Good Samaritan

We’ve all heard the story of the Good Samaritan.

What does it mean to be a Good Samaritan?

In the story, we see two responses to a person in need: avoid getting involved and compassion. We pass by people every day, much like the landscape along the highway. Our lives are so busy that we don’t want to see those in need or be inconvenienced. What would happen if you were the one in need? Who would stop for you? To have a neighbor we must first be a neighbor. Take time today to slow down and see the people around you for the first time. Look as you go about your way, engage in conversation. Yes it may mean getting involved or getting your hands dirty.

Luke 10:30-37
