Fondest Memory

This a time of the year to remember and reflect. The cool weather brings back many fond memories from my marriage to the love of my life to the blessing of parenthood at my son’s birth.

My fondest memory as a child was around 6 years old. It was just my father, myself and our English Setter Dixie. We were off to Quail hunt in Oaky Woods. Daddy was giving instructions on what to do, what to expect, watch Dixie, and be prepared for the unexpected. Then Dixie flushes the birds, the sound, heart racing, shots fired; most of all a wonderful time with my father.

Life lessons learned in the woods that still impact me today. Great fond memories.

What do you remember?
