As I sit in the woods atop my John Deere

I stop, listen to the world around me

Sounds of nature

A fawn calling its mother

Crows noisily about

Squirrels forging

Sun rays coming thru the trees

Birds chirping

A Quiet time in the middle of a busy world

An Indian Summer Day

I sit and wonder

Who has passed this way before?

What stories do these woods hold?
