Creating a Legacy (I)

What imprint will you leave in this life on others?

I will be talking about the importance of creating a legacy over the next few weeks. One of the great examples or visual pictures of "Legacy" is a tree. Many of us have sat under trees planted by our ancestors. We may never have met them, but we enjoy the shade of the tree they planted. So is true with life. There are many things someone planted in us that have become a critical element in the DNA of who we are today.

Here are a few questions to consider:

- How do you want to be remembered?

- What would others say about you today?

- What needs to change in your life?

- How will you go about making changes?

- Do you truly want to make a difference in the lives of others?

Your legacy and imprint are developed within your many relationships with family, community, and yourself. Proverbs states that from knowledge comes understanding, which leads to wisdom. I hope this introduction to creating your legacy prompts you to consider the importance your personal imprint makes on others each and every day.

Psalm 1

He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water,

Which yields its fruit in its season

And its leaf does not wither;

And in whatever he does, he prospers.
